Every woman needs that go to brand, the one she can always rely on to fit perfectly and look amazing whether you are at a wedding, party or just want to make a bit of an extra effort in your everyday life - for me this brand has to be Chi Chi London. I actually only discovered this amazing brand last year, through social media - I kept seeing the dresses appearing in my feed and soon after headed to the website and fell in love. With pricing for most styles under £80, this brand offers beautifully designed dresses at an amazing price. I have noticed they do offer other items of clothing on the website but I am yet to explore further as I always end up on the dresses tab drooling over embroidery and pretty prints.
There are a few styles that have caught my eye and have been sat on my wish list for a while now, but even at the great price I feel like I need an occasion to buy one of these for - simply to stunning to just sit in my wardrobe. Lucky for me, my best friend is getting married in the spring, also stumbled across the brand and to my delight chose one of my wish list as my bridesmaid dress (watch out on my Instagram, to see which one I got). Below are the other five dresses I would love to add to my wardrobe but for now a girl can dream (and hint!).
There are many designs on the website but as you can see I tend to stick to one silhouette, I know what works for me. All these styles are fitted at the waist and come with a gorgeous full skirt complete with tulle underskirt, giving such a beautiful shape and oodles of femininity.

I particularly like the floral dress layered over a white shirt for an office appropriate look, something I may try and it gives me a good excuse to buy - this dress is actually the Beth dress above and was one of the reasons it made it on my wishlist.

Nothing like we have seen from her before, Sophia Webster is normally an uber girly designer, however she retained the quirky touches she is known for but added a touch of gothic princess to this seasons collection. With classics we know and love, such as the butterfly heels and slogan bags updated to fit the dark and brooding theme alongside plenty of new styles to tempt us to the dark side and i have to say, i loved it.
The first element of the collection is the black and gold pieces. Lots of sleek stiletto shapes with butterflies in laser cut leather and mesh panels giving a very dark romance to the styles, yet keeping the femininity we have come to expect from her designs. My favourites would have to be the top image - the black mesh & velvet open toe boot, with back zip, lace up detail and gorgeous rose gold hardware - a true statement boot.
Next up sumptious brocade uppers and jewel encrusted heels, these three would add a touch of opulence to any outfit. I love the simplicity of the flat MJ style, mixing a simple shoe with amazing textures without it being to overpowering and again those boots are amazing and would make any everyday outfit pop with style.
This element of the collection is more what we are used to from Webster - metallic's, pastel shades and lots of floral/butterfly embellishment. A beautiful colour palette and detailing - although i do find the floral knee high stilettos a little much, but i love the ankle version as the rainbow colours are amazing. The see through boots with butterfly's adorning the cuff and down the foot are gorgeous and a different take on the traditional ankle boot - which seems to be a key shape in this collection.
More sparkles this time with a dramatic red velvet upper and jeweled soles - a great combination, could see these being the perfect Christmas party shoe styled with a LBD. Again love the simple flat MJ style with a touch of sparkle on the low block heel, perfect for pairing with your favourite skinny jeans.
A smaller collection of bags this time round, but all as beautiful as their shoe counterparts. Which would you go for - a sparkly box clutch or a statement slogan? Think i would have to chose the black and rose gold chain bag as my favourite - i am a sucker for anything rose gold and i love the simple shape.
Finally the centre piece of this years presentation was the "corpse bride" in her stunning wedding dress designed by Edward Meadham of Meadham Kirchhoff and the accompanying accessories. Intricate mesh laced heels and a "Wifey for lifey" vintage style clutch perfectly completed the look - makes me a little sad i am already a wifey, would have loved these shoes for my wedding day.

One of the most anticipated shows at this season London Fashion week - a lot of hype built up on social media, so much excitement with this being the first collection from the new creative director Johnny Coca and the first LFW show we have seen in a few seasons for Mulberry however sadly i was disappointed. I really loved the FW15 presentation, with its traditional roots, fabrications and the stunning leather pieces (read my round up here) but this one was just a step too far out of my comfort zone. For me it had no clear story, was missing the whimsical element that has been synonymous with the brand for many years and overall was just a little too punk/gothic for me. A heavy almost grunge theme running through the garments and styling (weird pirate earring was an odd choice on all the models) that all in all just didn't work for me, but i imagine there are many fashionistas out there who would love the collection and its eclectic style.
Mulberry for me is all about the bags so lets start there... A very mixed collection - initially hated it but now i have been able to see the bags in more detail there are aspects that have grown on me however i do not have the usual love, i have had in previous seasons for the collection. Something about the heavy chains and studding detail put me off (too many bells and whistles for an investment piece), the simpler styles are much nicer and i can see the traditional Mulberry brand coming through but the punk styling has not been well received. Even with the announcement that prices will be lowered back into the £500-£995 price bracket i am not convinced. The Clifton is the nicest new style, with its simple shape and gold hardware - this is the only one i would say that ticked all the boxes for me and i would consider investing in.
Now for the three looks that i really didn't like....outfits that were not what i associate with the brand and wasn't expecting to see on the catwalk. Clashing colours, odd looking garments, net style old lady shopping bags and worst of all for me, a dress that was essentially totally see through! Not feminine or pretty at all - a garment i would expect to see on the catwalk at Vivienne Westwood not Mulberry.
The final element of the collection was a big emphasis on shoes, a growth area for Mr Coca. Again bold styling with chunky buckles, multi texture panelling and stud detailing however there is something about the chunky footwear that tickles my fancy but can't quite put my finger on it!

With the collection centered around an autumnal palette of khaki, navy, burgundy and black mixed with bold punchy highlights of pink, cornflower blue and egg yolk yellow, there were some very wearable pieces. The quality in the garments is clear to see and shows in the fabrics chosen, the beautiful tailoring and craftsmanship. The oversized floral print used is exquisite particularly in the white and grey shirtdress, and adds a touch of softness to an otherwise hard collection.

I’m fascinated with the debates surrounding digital design as 'art' so have started at the beginning, with early 8 bit graphics and pioneering arcade games. We’ve explored each design using innovative leatherwork techniques such as heat-fusing and leather marquetry. These ideas are brought to life on the runway in a show that explores the development of artificial consciousness and poses the question, do computers dream when they sleep?" - Anya Hindmarch
Never actually watched an Anya Hindmarch show before, (admittedly i watched this season's from the comfort of my sofa) but i have been aware of her beautiful bags and accessories for a few years now, not so much the clothing side of the brand, but after seeing this collection i will be watching more closely from now on. Also feel like i may need to make sure i pop into the boutique at Bicester Village next time i am there!
Whimsical, fun and unexpected are the three words i would use to sum up this collection but before we talk clothes, lets discuss the show itself... a very different approach to a catwalk show, nothing like i have seen before. Simple music, playful lights and moving blocks with the models navigating round the grid like a game of pac-mac. Very simple yet impressive and the perfect background to the show, i loved the colour changing lights that moved in sync with the different elements within the collection helping to tell a story.
The AW16 collection was focused on a series of oversized coats in luxurious fabrics - cashmere, mink and shearling, appliquéd with quirky motifs including fried eggs, smoking cigarettes, Pac-Man, googly eyes and on some pieces bright panels of leather. Alongside these statement coats, a playful selection of bags, some classic existing styles from the current collection with a new season update, adorned with graphic, rainbow-coloured leather squares and diamanté stickers and charms, such as a mink rubix cube. There was also silver rucksacks covered in smiley face stickers, snuggly shearling backpacks with googly eyes and totes bedazzled with diamanté video game graphics - very old school gamer. Not sure i could rock the coat covered in fried eggs but love the idea of it and the fun element it brings to the collection.
Such attention to detail on all of these pieces, from the pac-man motifs to the playful furry fried egg collars. Plus how super cute is the polar bear coat and matching paw boots - not sure many people would be brave enough to wear both out the house! but the perfect penultimate look to the show.
Next up we have my favourite looks - all three gorgeous and unique.
Now onto the most important part...the bags. I like that most are classic shapes, that would work in everyday life, very practical in beautiful leathers but given that fashion edge through print, texture and motifs. Adorned with quirky oversized charms and embellished straps. Plus can we take a moment to admire these silver boots covered in Hindmarch stickers, they are a piece of wearable art, bold but beautiful - very modern day ABBA!

The new SS16 eyewear collection from Warby Parker is just what the fashion gods ordered - stylish geek chic at affordable prices (starting from $95) and in an array of styles and colours (perfect for matching to your wardrobe needs). I could spend hours looking at all the beautiful frames but here are the four that i love the most:
So hard to narrow down my favourites, with such a wide selection available (which makes a change) but i tend to go for styles that are bold and a little larger in frame size. For me all of these frames would suit my style and add that touch of geek chic i like to have in my glasses. I particularity love "Finch" in this beautiful pastel shade, bold but not in a garish way - the complete opposite to the "Burroughs" pair in a super statement bright blue shade. Don't panic if you prefer the more classic black or tortoiseshell they have these too - but for me i am embracing being a glasses wearer now and in my opinion the bolder, the better.
Along with stylish specs Warby Parker also have beautiful sunglasses too, also starting from $95. Their new SS16 sun collective collection offers statement styles at affordable price - perfect for me as i love sunglasses but could never part with $400+ for a designer pair (i always loose them or sit on them!). As with the specs i have pulled together my favourite styles and not surprisingly a couple of them actually share the same frame shapes....that's what i call synergy!
Three fairly similar styles in terms of size and shape, however i love the subtle different detailing on each one. Think my favourite pair would have to be the Laurel - something about the feminine pastel shade of the frames (pastels are my go to for SS16) and the classic shape just drew me in but i do also really love the shape and print used on the Haskell pair, something a little bit different. Oh decisions decisions - far to much choice!!

Warby Parker SS16 - Stylish Specs
The new SS16 eyewear collection from Warby Parker is just what the fashion gods ordered - stylish geek chic at affordable prices (starting from $95) and in an array of styles and colours (perfect for matching to your wardrobe needs). I could spend hours looking at all the beautiful frames but here are the four that i love the most:
So hard to narrow down my favourites, with such a wide selection available (which makes a change) but i tend to go for styles that are bold and a little larger in frame size. For me all of these frames would suit my style and add that touch of geek chic i like to have in my glasses. I particularity love "Finch" in this beautiful pastel shade, bold but not in a garish way - the complete opposite to the "Burroughs" pair in a super statement bright blue shade. Don't panic if you prefer the more classic black or tortoiseshell they have these too - but for me i am embracing being a glasses wearer now and in my opinion the bolder, the better.
Along with stylish specs Warby Parker also have beautiful sunglasses too, also starting from $95. Their new SS16 sun collective collection offers statement styles at affordable price - perfect for me as i love sunglasses but could never part with $400+ for a designer pair (i always loose them or sit on them!). As with the specs i have pulled together my favourite styles and not surprisingly a couple of them actually share the same frame shapes....that's what i call synergy!
Three fairly similar styles in terms of size and shape, however i love the subtle different detailing on each one. Think my favourite pair would have to be the Laurel - something about the feminine pastel shade of the frames (pastels are my go to for SS16) and the classic shape just drew me in but i do also really love the shape and print used on the Haskell pair, something a little bit different. Oh decisions decisions - far to much choice!!

The first of my January reads, "Tales from the Back Row: An Outsider's View from Inside the Fashion Industry". I love to read behind the scenes books, very the Devil wears Prada-esque so far. | Found this amazing new clock for my bedroom, love the multi city mini clocks and just how oversized it is, perfect for the big white wall above my TV. | Playing with my new camera and loving this almost romantic shot in the mirror, even makes my no make up face look flawless. The benefits of having a proper camera for photography is very apparent! hoping you will see a difference in quality in my post photos too. | My new dressing table set up, with this gorgeous mirror from Next as the centre piece. Simple but gives me additional storage without taking up to much room. | Such a big kid, but this is one of my favourite Christmas presents from 2015 from my little sister - Stitch's girlfriend Angel. You are never to old for Disney! that is my motto | The rest of the books I am reading this month - Love, style, life by Garance Doré and Love Tanya by Tanya Burr. | First snow of the year! If you don't live in the UK, we rarely get snow and the minute we do the county goes into meltdown, however I love the snow and we went for a walk in the beautiful crisp countryside. | Oh what a beautiful morning, stunning sunrise one crisp morning after the snow. | So excited that the new season of Pretty Little Liars has started on Netflix, the suspense has been killing me and this show is my guilty pleasure on a Wednesday night.

Over the last two years i have built up a collection of basic items that i reach for every week, and mix with statement/trend pieces in my wardrobe. When I look in my wardrobe there is a sea of black, white and grey but for me these essentials all work for my style and are the perfect base for seasonal print, colour and statement accessories. While the basic six are always there, the styles do change - dress silhouettes vary by season, as do hemlengths on skirts but the item will always be hanging on my rail in some shape or form.
So here are the six essential items i couldn't live without...
SKIRT
A classic skirt is something you can wear for multiple occasions and style with both staples and statement pieces. The one on my rail at the moment is a suedette button down mini from Dorothy Perkins but i have had both midi and maxi styles on my essentials list in the past - pick one that works for you.
STRIPED TEE
Striped Tee's have always been in my wardrobe, but only recently have i appreciated just how versatile a piece it is and just how much i do love to wear. I like to have one with a touch of detail such as a pocket, cute saying or sprinkle of sparkle but plain also works just as well. Both of my current styles are from ASOS and i find they always have great fashionable versions of this basic piece.
BLACK JEANS
Whether you choose skinny, bootcut, straight or flare, a pair of black jeans are essential to any wardrobe. For some traditional blue denim is key, but for me black jeans are my go to and they have to be skinny (i have tried many, many styles over the years and found these to be the most flattering on my shape). Both of my current pairs are from Dorothy Perkins (the only brand i have found who don't assume just because you are a little larger round the middle that you also have tree trunks for legs - which i do not), i have one pair of super skinny jeggings and a distressed pair of relaxed fit skinny's.
CAMI / VEST
A rainbow of cami/vest style tops, perfect for under dresses and knitwear or layering under tshirts. Personally I tend to get mine from Primark, as I like the fit (plus they are a bargain at less than £3 each) but Gap, M&S and Next also offer a great selection.
LIGHTWEIGHT KNITWEAR
The lightweight Knit, a cooler day essential but still handy to have in the summer. I have always gone for chunky knits and struggled when it came to layering up under a winter coat, usually because i am too hot, then i found the perfect jumper in Topshop (oversized, low v neck and contrast sleeves) and it changed my outlook on knitwear forever... Sadly that jumper had to be replaced last year as it was so worn, it was looking bobbly however the new version in Topshop this year was the perfect replacement. I like to choose a style that is well made and has a little bit of detailing - this can be a ribbed panel, stitched detail or even contrast sleeves.
EVERYDAY DRESS
My final essential is an everyday dress, the style depends on your taste and shape but choose something simple and classic style that works for every occasion. My choice is a black jersey tshirt dress I found on ASOS, it looks great layered with jackets, kimonos or chunky cardigans and is perfect for work or chilling at the weekend.
One further note: If you find the perfect essential piece and it comes in other colours - BUY!

A few new season fashion items, along with an obscure homeware item... a brass armadillo - i was drawn to this as armadillos are my favourite animals and i though this would be so cute in my lounge. My favourite item would have to be the colourblocked satchel, i have been looking at the Cambridge company for a while now, trying to decide which one i would like to get and when i saw this one in the new season collection i knew i had found my bag. I have always been interested in street style, maybe even obsessed. I love people watching and as the streets are the everyday girls catwalk i find lots of inspiration there. Pinterest is an amazing source for street style imagery and one lady who is always in my feed and appears on almost all of my street style boards is Blair Eadie from Atlantic Pacific. I find her style to be polished and chic yet super fun, she is one of my favourite fashionistas and one of my inspirations, plus she has the best photographer - her outfit shots are beautiful not only the clothes but the locations and angles..perfection.
I think Blair maybe one of the few women who can pull off dungarees and not look like a teenager, adding heels and a breton stripe tee and accessories is such a grown up way to wear. Her casual looks are based around a great pair of jeans, with a killer jacket/coat, classic shoes and statement accessories and always a pair of oversized sunglasses. Plus this girl loves a hat - fedora, beanie or bobble all appear in many outfits. These casual looks tend to be in a very muted classic palette with lots of black, camel, grey and tonal neutrals.
Serious wardrobe envy here, so many beautiful skirts and dresses, not to mention some serious statement accessories - would love to see her closet and fawn over the shoes and bags in her collection. The vintage Chanel brooch has become an icon in her outfit posts and is such a simple way to add a chic element to a look. A true girly girl, Blair opts for feminine pieces, favouring midi skirts and dresses most of the time, but throwing in a mini occasionally to mix things up and letting one statement item do the work, teamed with classic basics. This is also where she plays with colour, mixing in some pastels as well as bold primary colours to add a touch of fun. I think my favourite look here is actually the camo miltiary jacket, teamed with a simple white shirt, black skirt, black pump combo and tan accessories (plus the Chanel brooch) - would never have thought of camo being fashionable or stylish but in a small dose with the right styling is a great look.
