"City Streets are the real runways."

For me equally as important as the shows themselves is the street style, seeing what the fashionista's choose to wear is the fun part of fashion week. As i am not lucky enough to attend, i have to rely on social media to see all the beautiful street style looks and during fashion week i am hooked to Pinterest and Instagram waiting to see what everyone is wearing.

A very wide variety of looks this year, not helped by the ever changing British weather (rain one minute, warm and sunny another). A lot of summer looks in pastels and white as well as more seasonal autumnal outfits in rich colours such as rust, burgundy and as usual the fashion staple of black. Fedora's and statement sunglasses the accessories of choice and no surprise the Chloe Drew & Faye stealing the limelight as the IT bag in varying sizes and colours.

These are just some of the looks that i loved this Fashion Week - all are from Pinterest, check out my fashion week board for more...

This season's quirky and elaborate theme for the presentation was a Mermaid Launderette, exactly as it sounds: a group of mermaids have laundered their tails - and hung them on a washing line across the space while they get their legs out for an hour or two and wear Sophia Webster shoes - i just feel bad for the mermaid who chose to use her time hanging out sat in a washing machine whilst wearing such a beautiful glittery pair of heels!

As usual a beautifully thought-out setup, with pink washing machines, bubbles and giant boxes of detergent, scattered around showcasing the footwear and bag styles from the collection. While the shoes were amazing, i am not so sure on the models outfits, the swimsuits were cute but not so sure about the old school swim hats even if they were beautifully bedazzled. Although hanging out in a giant clam shell surrounded by shoes and giant pearls does look like fun.

The shoes....
The perfect collection, with a mix of pastels and metallic with a hint of nautical thrown in for good measure. Featuring Webster's signature speech bubble styles updated to sit within this new assortment alongside some new silhouettes including a 70's platform and the daring thigh high fishnet sandals. The above styles are my favourites from the presentation, with the pastel mules (top row second image) catching my eye first, i love the colours as well as the almost patchwork look of the uppers and the cutout detailing.

The Bags...
As expected the typical speech bubble clutch bags made an appearance with some cute mermaid slogans, as well as some beautiful new hard case clutches featuring prints and textures from the shoe collection. I especially liked the detail on these - favourite has to be the third image, a great pale blue shade and a gorgeous rose gold clasp and chain strap.

By far my favourite element of any Sophia Webster collection, the Mini shoes are always so adorable and i just love the idea of mum and mini me. A small collection as always but super cute and perfect for any aspiring fashionista.

Would you trade in your mermaid tail for a pair of these beauties? I certainly would..

The one event in the fashion week schedule i was excitedly looking forward to, ever since the brand announcement....Hill & Friends is the new venture for ex-Mulberry ladies Emma Hill and Georgia Fendley. Under the creative reign of Hill, Mulberry released my favourite bags - Alexa, Tillie & Willow and so i was very excited to see what the queen of handbags had in store for London Fashion Week and she did not disappoint.

The breakfast presentation at Claridges was a very pink affair - where guests sat down to pink strawberry milk shakes, Moet and sugar-coated eggs and bacon biscuits. A novel way of presenting the collection - bell boys circulating around the room showing off the beautiful new handbags on silver tea trays or laden on traditional luggage trolleys. What I can only call a very, very pink event typical of the designer and her quirky personality, which shone through not only in the room presentation but in every detail of the collection. My only question about the room would be what were in the boxes on the chairs - a little leather treat me thinks...

The collection itself made up of very classic designs, with a bold quirky element - from the patchwork colours of pink leopard and bright happy green, to the unique closure on each bag, a signature Hill smiley face lock, where the eyes twist or wink. Not a huge assortment but something for all occasion - the brand will branch out into clothing too but wanted to launch with accessories (the best bit in my opinion). With prices starting at £495, with most below £1,000 - this collection is far more accessible to the masses but still offers a British brand with quality and a touch off luxury.

The highlight of the event seems to have been these two mini Shetland ponies, adorned in pink rosettes, galloping around the room before making a break for it down the corridor dragging the unsuspecting bell boy behind!

For me the element i most loved about this event (aside from the beautiful bags) was the attention to brand detail, from ponies to breakfast shaped biscuits, to the amazing pink shrubs adorning the front doors of Claridges - i really want one of the mini trees with googly eyes for my garden!!!! This would definitely have been a sight to see, so much pink, my idea of heaven.

Reflecting the current trend of show now, buy now, the website - Hill&Friends.com is now live with a small launch collection, made up of 3 styles in a variety of colours... think my favourites have to be the Oxblood happy satchel and the bright neon pink happy chain bag.

Now to decide which of these leather lovelies i want to give a good home to!

"My Little Box aims to delight and surprise you every month."

A delightful monthly beauty and lifestyle subscription box all the way from Paris.
Each month the themed box comes with must-have beauty products (including one from the in-house beauty range, My Little Beauty), Fashion and lifestyle accessories, My Little World magazine, Illustrated goodies by Kanako other surprises… Priced at £11.95 plus P&P
For more info check out mylittlebox.co.uk

The boxes i have received...
My Little Parisienne Box - September 2014  Look inside
My Little DVF Box - October 2014
My Little Cosy Box - November 2014  Look inside
My Little Christmas Box - December 2014  Look inside
My Little Energy Box - January 2015
My Little Frenchie Box - February 2015  Look inside
My Little Super Box - March 2015
My Little Dream Box - April 2015
My Little Provence Box - May 2015
My Little French Riviera Box - June 2015  Look inside
My Little Roadtrip Box - July 2015  Look inside
My Litle Gypset Box - August 2015
My Little Fashion Box - September 2015

Overall i have been pleased with almost every box, there were the occasional odd products that i didn't like but i think there was only one box that truly disappointed me and made me think about cancelling when i received it - the My Little Super Box. The beauty products saved it (just) but it was the worst theme and the lifestyle products were awful! Stickers of superheros and a t-shirt, which was once size fits all and on me that meant a skin tight crop top that i couldn't even used as pajamas!! Clothing or anything sized is an awkward item at best in this kind of subscription as one size fits all just doesn't cater to all customers. However it was only this one box that i truly hated!

On the flip side i had two favourite boxes - the theme, the beauty and lifestyle items were all perfect and very to my taste - the 1st UK box, My Little Parisienne Box and the Christmas box which was a collaboration with my favourite beauty YouTube'r Fleur de Force (for a full review of both and to see the goodies inside, click the "Look inside" links above).

My Little Beauty

So as explained every box contains 1 item from the brands own beauty range - My Little Beauty and comes in this beautifully designed packaging. I received a variety of items - from face mist to body scrub, highlighter to mascara and three variations of a red lip product.

I really liked all the products from My Little Beauty, all products i have enjoyed using and would love to repurchase. The only items i was not completely convinced by were the lip products (lip/cheek pencil, lipstick, lip gloss) all three were lovely, with a great consistency and staying power but all came in a shade of red. Whilst i get that a red lip is very French and in keeping with the brand not everyone likes or looks good with a bold red lip - wish they had mixed them up a bit and offered at least one everyday nude shade. This was really my only disappointment for this collection, other than you can only buy individually online if you live in France!

Premium beauty

A great selection of both brands and products over the last 12 months, with two per month alongside the My Little Beauty item. A good mix of makeup, hair and skin care items from both brands i have heard of (such as Garnier, Essie, Laura Mercier, L'occitaine, L'oreal) and plus some higher end that i knew nothing about (Keratase, Nuxe, ByTerry) - this mix allows the customer to try items they wouldn't have before which i guess is the point of a beauty box. I have actually used all the items but one (the Essie green nail polish, my favourite brand but a very un-me colour) and now have some faithful beauty go to items that i will be repurchasing when i run out.

Fashion & Lifestyle

The main difference between My Little Box and other beauty boxes around - the fashion & lifestyle items that support the beauty. A very wide variety of products, most of which have been useful, but not going to lie there were a few items that i just didn't understand or didn't for me really fit into the box theme. Such as a mug so small it would only fit a shot in (i now keep cotton buds in it), paper flower pots?? and the customisable gold bangle, which you could only wear if you have giant wrists.

Items included: Scarves, notebooks, stickers, sunglasses, phone case, stamp set, travel wallet, laptop case plus many many more.....hard to shoot them all in one photo!

Out of all the boxes i received these are the products that were my favourites...

Beauty: Garnier Micellar water travel size and Miracle sleeping cream, My Little Beauty after sun cream (smells of bubblegum) and illuminating highlighter pen, Kerastase deep hair conditioner, Nuxe multi usage dry oil and By Terry eyeliner.

Lifestyle: Neoprene laptop case, travel wallet, nail stickers, sunglasses, knitted winter head band, coin bracelet, hair bobble/bracelets and a scarf.

So after a year, I am ending my subscription, the final box i received was the perfect end - a fashion themed box to tie in with fashion week (how gorgeous is the artwork). I have loved waiting for these boxes to arrive every month and the anticipation of what will be inside but i want to try out other beauty boxes for some comparison.

Overall I would recommend to try this beauty box, but you need to be open minded as some a months are better than others.  Have you tried My Little Box - What do you think?

So now i am off to try another beauty box, Birchbox perhaps - any recommendations??

Just a quick round up of new products that i have discovered and been loving over the last couple of months and best of all, they are all under £15.....

1. Batiste Stylist range - £4.49 each
Heat & shine spray and Texturizing spray, featured these in My August - saw these in boots and as i love the Batiste dry shampoo thought i would give them a go. Only chose two products from the range and have to say love them both. Amazing smell and have left my hair feeling styled but not dry, especially the texturising spray it doesn't leave my hair crispy like some others.

The most expensive item, a recommendation from the sales assistant as part of an in-store offer - intense deep cleaning that has left my skin feeling amazing - soft, smooth and most of all clear of spots. Part of the Vitamin C collection, that i will be trying more of.

3. Primark Beautiful Bronze highlighting glow stick £2.
An impulse purchase (as most in Primark are) but glad as this little beauty offers a subtle highlight with a touch of shimmer in an easy applicator. Very impressed with the Primark make-up range and great value for money.

Wanted to find something to fix my makeup in the mornings and read a review online that this was a cheap option to the Urban decay product. Great at fixing make up but also leaves my face feeling soft and helps to keep my face hydrated throughout the day.

A bit slow on this one, has been around for a while - a nice hybrid product that does make my shower routine in the mornings a bit quicker. Consistency a little odd but washes off nicely and leaves my skin well moisturised.

Do you have any recommendations for great beauty products under £15?

I am definitely an Autumn girl at heart, especially when it comes to my preferred colour palette - i look so much better in rich tones, which is perfect when my favourite colours for this season are shades of berry. Something about a berry item that just looks amazing against my skin and hair colour and just makes me feel special. While i wouldn't want to go head to toe in berry, this is the perfect colour to add a pop to my almost entirely black wardrobe in the Autumn.

These are my favourite items that i have seen over the last month - some high-street and some designer but all beautiful especially the watch and the Mulberry bag, which i actually hated when it was first released but has grown on me and now is a love item. I already snapped up the leopard print scarf from ASOS, love the different mix of navy and berry, not a combination i have seen much of before.

Are you a fan of this seasons "it" colour?

Something sophisticated and very chic about a slogan tee, especially when teamed with something unexpected.

Now we all know that a slogan tee looks great with your favourite jeans and flats for a chilled out day but this stylish basic can be just as gorgeous teamed with something a bit more dressy. Take an amazing statement skirt like the polka dot one above, this teamed with a shirt or smarter style top would make it seem far to polished and dressy for the daytime, but with your favourite slogan tee it gets that casual chic touch needed. I also really love teaming it with smart trousers and a tailored blazer (sleeveless preferably) and some great accessories, again adds a very fashion forward edge to office wear but still looks smart.

This type of top is also the perfect base for a statement necklace - especially in a bright colour.

My only advice for this brilliant basic would be - keep the slogan appropriate (bonus points for a fashion/style reference) and if you go for white, it must be crisp white.

"A woman with good shoes is never ugly" - Coco Chanel

A new season means new shoes, here are the three styles I think every woman should own to keep her feet fashionable during the Autumn, a great balance between style and function:
The number one footwear item that every woman should have in her collection. The most versatile shoe - perfect with everything from jeans to skirts and dresses. First up comes heel height, are you a classic Chelsea flat, a modern western stacked heel or a sophisticated stiletto? Personally I always go with a western stack heel, they go with everything and are super comfy yet stylish. Ankle boots are a great way to add colour, texture or a bold print to a simplistic outfit - tassels, fringing and the classic leopard print are all favourites of mine especially when teamed with a little black dress or jeans.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I am a woman who appreciates a good flat, especially in our busy lives when heels are just not appropriate but we still want our tootsies to look fabulous. The latest styles allow us to add a touch of quirky to the jeans and tee uniform so many of us love. Some like a simple monochrome style, others love a good tassel or print but my favourites are the above slogan "bee happy" loafers (very Charlotte Olympia - totally lusting after a pair of Kitty flats) as well as the intricate floral lace brogues - both are cute and would add something special to my skinny jeans or go to little black dress.

Every woman should own at least one pair of statement heels, not your classic everyday heel but something adorned with beautiful detailing. Gone are the days of just sparkle, now is the era of anything goes - pompoms, stripes, butterflies, flowers, lacing to name a few. A style to embrace and have fun with, think Sophia Webster and go for the most outrageous you can. I love the idea of wearing a statement shoe everyday, teaming a with slim leg trousers for work like the grey pompom and rust trousers combo above.

If you could choose only one style for Autumn which would it be?

The footwear you need now....

* Gorgeous new makeup storage for my dressing table, simple and in a cute colour combo, perfect from Ikea - also got two more for my bathroom. * New fridge favourite, super energise smoothie from Innocent, which is strawberry, cherry & guarana and comes out the most beautiful purple/pink colour yummy. * Mini Primark haul, trying out some items from the beauty aisle. Neutrals eye shadow palette, hand creams, flamingo false nails, feather festival eyelashes for a hen party, natural eyelashes and a fantastic smelling pineapple & ginger candle. * Cute braid and ponytail in a desk selfie. * New styling loves - I always use Batiste dry shampoo so thought I would give the new Stylist range a go. Decided to buy the Shield My Locks Heat & Shine Spray and Texture Me Texturizing Spray - love them both, they make my hair so soft, smell amazing and offer perfect hold plus how cute is the packaging. * Friday evening beauty routine, including a new pink lemonade peel off face mask which smells amazing. * The latest addition to my growing Essie collection, this time in the shade "Cocktail bling" a gorgeous shade of grey, perfect neutral shade. * Finally went to the hair dressers and had my hair cut to a true lob - read more about my experience below in my blog post.

* New season lovely from Lulu Guinness - the style, the colour, the iconic lips all make this the most beautiful satchel bag. * Following the shopping rule, usually kept for jeans and white t-shirts: when you find the perfect one buy in every colour! This skater dress with t-shirt overlay is my perfect everyday dress and is cute in both solid black and this vintage floral print - good old ASOS (just need a few more colours/prints please). * Amazing documentary about Christian Louboutin on channel 4, a whole hour about shoes what more could a girl ask for. Watch catch up - The world's most luxurious shoes* My new lust brand, Self Portrait dresses are to die for!! All the intricate detailing is beautiful and sheer luxury only downside is the hefty price tag attached but would be a perfect investment piece for a special occasion. * Thought I was over my pompom keyring obsession until I saw these cuties on the @dune Instagram feed and bam I back in love, need them both!! * One amazing afternoon in the rain these goodies arrived and brighten up my day! Stunning marble/wood effect phone case all the way from Italy via Etsy, the perfect cover for my phone. Plus these rosegold swing earrings from ASOS, a great everyday earring and the mix of colour and stones is beautiful. * Saw this outfit in Look magazine and fell in love instantly, the products are great but the styling is just gorgeous and an outfit I could totally see myself wearing. Have spent last week watching Newlook.co.uk for the necklace to arrive. * Continuing my obsession with burgundy tones with my new accessory additions, felt fedora from Accessorize and oversized leopard print scarf from ASOS.

* Came across the cutest little ice cream parlour, very 50's and so many yummy flavours - I went for chocolate and banana ice cream topped with cream, marshmallows, chocolate sauce and a wafer..yummy! * Surprise tickets from hubby to see Legally Blonde the musical, the perfect way to spend a wet Sunday afternoon (only downside was in an outdoor theatre which was a little chilly. A very good show just a little too much pink for hubby. * Adding some much needed green into my lounge with this plant from Ikea and it's fabulous gold pot, great addition to the corner of the room.
