Continuing the revival trend, Sophia Webster has teamed up with Barbie to create a capsule range - if you don't like pink look away now as this collection is essentially a celebration of all things pink!
Taking a fashion icon and bringing her bang up to date, Sophia Webster's Barbie collection has something for both the traditional and 21st century barbie girl. A perfect brand fit as Webster is known for quirky and her love of pink, all the styles in this collection are unique and styles that as usual are like wearable pieces of art. All to coincide with the new fashionista range that Mattel are launching (figurines with eight different skin tones, 14 varying facial shapes, 18 eye colours, 22 hair styles and 23 hair tones, very multi cultural) and part of the collection the Barbie by Sophia Webster doll priced at £120, will come with colourful hi-tops and flatform sandals alongside a couple of pairs of heels. I am excited to see what she looks like when she goes on sale mid September.

My favourites have to be the signature Chiara butterfly winged heel and the flat jelly sandals however the Leah bow heel is also beautiful and would make an amazing wedding shoe (on my consideration list for my shoes for my best friends wedding). My least favourites are the high-top and sneaker styles, but this is because i am a heels girl through and through but both these styles are great as Barbie is known for tottering around in heels and this changes the norm and for the first time in history, Barbie has the option of wearing flat shoes - and designer ones at that.
In true Webster style not only can mum channel her inner barbie but so can her daughter. I have always loved the mini range, the idea of mum and daughter wearing the same shoes and these are again so cute and the perfect pair of mini me's, but sadly still a little expensive £80 - £150 but gorgeous.

About a month ago i decided that i needed to shake things up a little and do something with my hair, but after many years of growing it i was a little scared to go too mad.
So off i went to the hairdressers and after a long visit (the shampoo girl didn't rinse all my conditioner out so two washes!!) on what was a ridiculously hot day i left with about 2 inches less hair, taking it up to mid chest. Liked it but after about a week i was mad at myself as i had originally gone in wanting a lot more off and basically chicken'd out! I didn't feel completely at ease with the stylist - who has cut my hair about 3 times now and never remembers me! and i think this put me off as she was very rough with my head and i just didn't feel she had listened fully to what i wanted.
Last week i ended up back in the hairdressers (different one this time) with a lovely lady called Helen and ended up going for what i really wanted - a long bob or Lob, cut to my collar bone with a few layers added. Helen kept asking if i was sure as apparently i looked petrified but i was brave and did it so another 2.5 inches off the length and i am so glad i did - LOVE it.
It is such a nice easy style to manage and looks great with a loose waved curl in.

So this is how my Lob turned out....need a little bit of practice on the styling as curling shorter hair isn't as easy as it looks, but i am love with it!

My New Hair
About a month ago i decided that i needed to shake things up a little and do something with my hair, but after many years of growing it i was a little scared to go too mad.

The sun is finally shining, summer has arrived but on the British high-street stores are just introducing the New Autumn/Winter collections. Something weird about buying woolly jumpers when its 25'C outside! but nice to get a head start on the new season and inevitably when the rain comes i will have some more appropriate items to layer on top of my summer dresses.
Here are my top picks from three of my favourite high street brands:

My go to store when i want something a little different - River island always offers a variety of great items and extra details. A similar colour palette to most other stores (i am overjoyed as burgundy/berry shades are everywhere!) but they have also added in this beautiful almost rust to the mix, another shade i really like and suits my skin/hair colour.
Would say the four items i have picked are more investment pieces, but i do find River Island that is worth it. In love with this geometric print collarless coat, the print itself is beautiful but i also really like the shape of the coat, not too oversized with just a touch of structure. I also think that for a lighter weight coat that £70 isn't bad, especially for something that looks premium. There is something about a collarless coat that suits me, i think it is because i have fairly small shoulders but obviously without a collar your neck can get a bit cold but that's where my next pick comes in - keep your neck toasty in this faux fur tippet scarf, great to add to a coat, jacket or even a cardigan. The next item is this embellished bomber jacket, which caught my eye as the front of the jacket is covered in very intricate bead work that just looks amazing and is an alternative way to add sparkle to an outfit. Last but not least is this structured sleeveless trench jacket, which reminds me of the Topshop sleeveless jacket i have, that has become a wardrobes staple as it is so versatile. This would a be a great item for work, structured and smart but screams fashionista with the cut and deep rust colour.

Going with a very 70's bohemian trend, but Oasis have added a slightly more sophisticated structured edge to their collection, mixing in beautiful colour and prints to add interest to simple styles.
This beautiful bold seventies dress caught my as i was drawn to the navy based autumnal print but also how it has been styled - very simple yet not too wintry, leaving the models legs bare is a nice touch as it is still summer. This look has also been styled with my second pick, this rich burgundy felt fedora - a classic shape that works with most outfits adding a finishing touch and again in my favourite shade for autumn. Next up this a-line popper front suedette skirt is gorgeous and just elevates a simple black skirt to a much more luxurious offer with its added texture, and again would be great item to wear now and then layer up when it gets cold. Lastly a simple item but the detailing makes it look like a premium piece and adds a touch of modernity, the zip detail tunic would be a great item if you wanted to make an effort but still be uber casual and comfortable especially when styled like the model channeling your inner rock chick.

My favourite store for in expensive fashion, this season New Look have started off with a mixture of trends but centred around Camel and the 70's bohemian look. So far there are many items that have stood out for me, all would work in an existing wardrobe and just add a touch of new season without breaking the bank.
First up is this gorgeous khaki utility shirt perfect for a relaxed look teamed with skinny jeans and ankle boots - the colour is great, a perfect basic that would also work with a skirt and tights. Next is a camel drape trench coat perfect for the transitional temperatures and can be dressed up or down - an essential item in any wardrobe, i really love the drape on this one a little more relaxed but still smart. My favourite item is this burgundy corduroy button down skirt - i cannot wait to try on, embracing the 70's trend but in a different colour that just so happens to be my go to at the moment, layered up with a printed blouse, berry accessories and ankle boots (like Olivia above) this would be a great autumnal look then just add a coat when it gets cold. Finally this casual grid check long-line shirt which is the perfect everyday shirt to wear with skinny jeans and sneakers or boots, plus i like that it is long-line so could be worn with leggings too.

* The most beautiful flowers, all my favourite colours in one arrangement - good old Pinterest for adding a touch of pink to a gloomy day. * Bathroom inspiration - love the mix of very simple and classic with a bold modern wallpaper would love to try in my house. * Re-stocking my faithful Essie base and top coat polishes - do not use anything else on my nails, these two are the perfect partners and give me a flawless manicure every time. * This month's My Little Box blew me away, my favourite so far i think - for more on its contents, check my post - My Little Roadtrip. * More Essie polish, this time messing around with nail art after discovering that washi tape works really well to mark off areas to paint on, who knew! * My new do - finally went for it and had 2 inches off my hair and had some layers added back in, loving my new textured lob and will be adding some bronde highlights next month. Such a good everyday style and easy to maintain.

*The July installment of my "How to Wear" series - my go to happy colour Bright Pink. Check it out here or if you have missed any, see the series here. * New casual bag, adding some much needed tassel to my life with this little tan number from H&M, feel very hippy and 70's carrying it but love the casual vibe it adds to a little dress and sandals. * Not a festival bunny but saw this little laydown on the @Primark instagram feed and thought if i was to go to one this would definitely be my outfit, particularly love the floral headwear. * The first piece from the New AW15 collections to catch my eye - who doesn't need a bag shaped like a London taxi? Really like this cutie from Boden and it even comes with a partner - one shaped like a London double decker bus, so excited to see what else they have for us this Autumn/Winter season. * Rediscovering gems in my jewellery box, forgot about this insect necklace which i think came from Topshop. * My favourote post of this month, finally got round to writing about my favourite blogger, one i have admired now for ages. I also announced on my Twitter @GlitterFashioni that i am starting a new blog schedule and will be posting twice a week, so check back on a Monday and Friday for new content, plus make sure you follow my social media for updates.

* Trying to decide on what camera i should get, any suggestions?? Want to improve on my photography skills and would be nice to use something other than my phone to take shots. * New stationary love....washi tape, it is so cool and i love the variety of prints/colours avalaible. Got this cute little birdie one from Etsy, which is now taking pride of place in my filofax. * Beautiful peonies on my coffee table, love to buy them when they are all tight like this as then they last for ages - check back in August for a shot when they are fully bloomed and looking amazing. * New jewels from the Zara sale - instagramed a shot a while ago but they sold out, then i found one in the sale! Love the mix of colours and the shape, plus with its length it would look amazing worn with a shirt buttoned up and peeping put from under the collar. * The cutest post i have ever received - from my best friend asking me to be her bridesmaid. Love the vintage style etching and the detail in the dress - so cute and so her, can't wait to see the invitations! * Wanted to get a simple ring to wear everyday and found this one in Accessorize for only £5, cute but very modern and a good size. Really like the intricate floral detail and just the right amount of sparkle.

Just a quick Monday post.... wanted to share this cute new collection from Kate Spade.
A brand known for quirky accessories this season is no different and for me, a cat lover these cute accessories are puuuuuuurfect! Not sure i could pull off the kitty bag (a little too out there for everyday) but i could definitely wear the mouse flats, they would be the perfect partner to a pair of black skinny jeans. I love that accessories allow you to add this element of fun to an outfit without leaving you looking like a style disaster.
Would love to buy the mouse bag, just to see what Willow would make of it - she would either attack or hide from it (probably the latter, she is a total fraidy cat!) although it would make a very expensive kitty toy!! Which is your favourite piece?

Just a quick Monday post.... wanted to share this cute new collection from Kate Spade.
A brand known for quirky accessories this season is no different and for me, a cat lover these cute accessories are puuuuuuurfect! Not sure i could pull off the kitty bag (a little too out there for everyday) but i could definitely wear the mouse flats, they would be the perfect partner to a pair of black skinny jeans.
