When the sun finally comes out i like to switch out my faithful winter beauty items for something a bit lighter. Most are drugstore products and available in Boots & Superdrug stores.
1. Garnier Micellar Water - gentle on my skin but removes all traces of make up and grime.
2. Percy & Reed Oil - a light oil that helps my hair stay smooth after blow drying.
3. Body Shop Peppermint Foot Lotion - a lifetime summer staple and has always been in my bathroom to give my feet that smooth look. The smell always reminds me of home as my mum has always used it too, family tradition.
4. Bourjois CC Cream - during the warmer months i tend to trade in my foundation for something lighter and currently i am loving this CC cream from Bourjois. It offers great coverage and SPF protection but is also lovely and lightweight as well as a great colour match on my skin.
5. Nivea Shower Gel - powerfruit delight. Picked this up on offer in boots and love it. Great smell as well as nourishing on my skin.
6. Bastise Dry Shampoo - the holy grail of dry shampoo, this stuff needs no introduction! Gives me a great hair refresh, smells amazing and no white patches. I love the variety of scents available, my favourite is the summer floral essences.
7. Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream - a pricey product but well worth it. Got a tub in My Little Box subscription and had to re-buy, leaves my skin soft in the morning and has helped to reduce my spots which is a bonus.

Finally when it comes to summer nails (in fact any time) it has to be Essie, it is just the perfect consistency, goes on smoothly, lasts and comes in amazing array of shades - i can't use anything else. These are my current favourite shades, all great for the summer.

The marmite colour of the fashion world that has fashionista's divided - some will avoid at all costs while others like myself want to embrace their inner barbie and add a splash to brighten up an outfit.
Some of the images above are very bold and would take a very confident lady to pull off - i particularly like the bright trouser and tweed jacket combo (very Elle Woods) it would definitely turn heads in any workplace. I also really like the simplistic sundress with print clutch look, something i could see myself wearing on holiday.
Fuchsia/neon shades can be a little overwhelming especially to a novice so my advice would be start small, a bold pair of heels, bag or statement necklace - i started with a huge Carrie Bradshaw corsage, that looks great pinned to a striped blazer and i still break it out when i need that extra flash of colour. However you choose to add to your wardrobe wear with pride, no longer is this colour seen as just one for a little girl, but for a modern woman and according to UK Vogue will be all over the highstreet this Autumn.

With fashion being such a big part of the world we live in, i think it is great when designers give back to the world - I loved the designer Pusey Bear auction for Children in Need a couple of years ago (read more Designer Pudsey ), so I was so excited when I saw the latest fundraising event for Save the Children....designer My little pony!! The event happened in June and i even shared this picture from the event on Facebook as my niece and i share a My Little Pony obsession - not realising the designer ponies were part of it.

Although still not a fan of the fold out My Little World magazine, i really love this month's photography on the poster - a beautiful almost romantic quality to the shots.
The best selection of beauty products yet in this months little drawstring bag - the Micellar cleansing water is my go to cleanser, so gentle but amazing at removing the daily grime of life plus loving the travel size. Essie is the only nail polish brand I use so very impressed to find a full sized bottle inside, only downside not a wonderful colour - not my usual and way too similar to last months shade but i will give it a go as I know the it will be a good consistency and last me a week without chips. The My little beauty item this time is gorgeous - summer sorbet, a simple after sun gel with the most amazing almost bubblegum scent, such a yummy smell plus cute packaging, I can't wait to use after my shower to hydrate my skin.

I love this time of year, that time of limbo between seasons. Spring/Summer collections are done and Autumn/Winter are just arriving in store - i love seeing whats new and the creative campaigns that accompany the styles/collections. For the last few years i have waited with anticipation for the new Mulberry ad campaign shots to arrive online - already up to speed with the direction of the collection and the pieces i already covet, the campaign shots are the signal that all the new beautiful pieces are/will now be online.
For some reason this year i feel like i have been waiting forever, but finally on Monday they appeared on Mulberry.com - i clicked on the new season link and was met by an edgy Seventies-style campaign shot on the streets of London. Again featuring Georgia Jagger this seasons hots have a more grown up yet edgy vibe to them, being described as "Having long championed nostalgic British style, the edgier new shots fuse Mulberry’s playful aesthetic with a sharper, more stylistic energy."
The Shots......
For some reason this year i feel like i have been waiting forever, but finally on Monday they appeared on Mulberry.com - i clicked on the new season link and was met by an edgy Seventies-style campaign shot on the streets of London. Again featuring Georgia Jagger this seasons hots have a more grown up yet edgy vibe to them, being described as "Having long championed nostalgic British style, the edgier new shots fuse Mulberry’s playful aesthetic with a sharper, more stylistic energy."

While i do like the vibe and the simplicity of the shots, i was disappointed by the lack of variety - 2 shots are just a black&white versions. Shooting in London there are so many great locations that could have been used within this seventies theme that would have showcased more of the collection. I do however like that the bags have regained focus and that the Roxette (my new lust item) has been used.

The amazing author of fashion and lifestyle blog Cupcakes and Cashmere - Emily Schuman has been an inspiration for me since i discovered her blog back in 2012 (if you haven't read it yet make sure you do). A second book soon followed in 2014 - Cupcakes & Cashmere at Home, but i am yet to purchase as this is solely focused on the home and its the fashion element that i love most about her blog but i may add it to my Christmas list.
Now Emily has done the one thing i was hoping for - a C&C fashion line, and the previews on the blog are amazing, the floral collared dress below is stunning and i cannot wait for it to come out - for more info see Emily's new post: Cupcakes and Cashmere fall 2015.

The one thing that did worry me was if this fabulous collection would be available in the UK? Luckily as it has been picked up by shopbop.com i can shop the pieces i love and not worry about expensive international delivery.
With most pieces coming in under £100 (only a couple over) they are definitely worth the investment plus the imagery is amazing, i am in love with the oversized cardigan and at £75 i will be investigating. Here are a few of my favourite looks from the blog, all very different but still very girly and put together - she even makes pregnancy look good (hope when i have a baby i can still look as stylish). I love that she uses colour to add a pop to black/white/grey staples and a faithful stripe.
Soon after starting to religiously follow the blog, Emily announced a book - Cupcakes & Cashmere: A guide for defining your style, reinventing your space and entertaining with ease. After what seemed like ages (took forever to get to the UK) i finally got my copy and again was so inspired, it was the perfect extension of her blog with some really helpful tips - a mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. A second book soon followed in 2014 - Cupcakes & Cashmere at Home, but i am yet to purchase as this is solely focused on the home and its the fashion element that i love most about her blog but i may add it to my Christmas list.

* Embracing my inner Carrie Bradshaw and adding a much needed pop of colour to a simple monochrome outfit with my vintage oversized corsage. * Gorgeous new shoes, stripes and a point - amazing and only £20 from ASOS. A great alternative to the traditional ballet pump. * Cutest image in a magazine, love a floral two piece from the gorgeous Alice Temperley. * Need this necklace - oversized and inspired by pink peony petals, just wish it didn't come with a hefty price attached - Tatty Devine (definitely on my sale wish list). * A Zara geometric beauty perfectly styled with a chambray shirt, simple but impactful and also now in the sale. * Have a bit of a weakness for Accessorize jewellery and this set of pink bracelets was no acception, love the coin and tassel detailing and a fabulous neon pink shade perfect compliment to a tan. * Always loosing my car keys in the depths of my bag, but this cute little panda from H&M should help. * Enjoying the sunshine, rocking a lot of gorgeous pink items. * New vintage print dress from ASOS, this layered style is great and fits like a glove (also comes in solids too). * Lust item from the Lulu Guinness sale - the Edie. Perfection in black leather with iconic gold lips as the fastener. * Beautiful floral bag with an equally beautiful neon striped tee from Joules.
* The final piece to complete my lounge, this vintage Parisian clock is hug and looks amazing above my TV, just the perfect finishing touch. * Cactus party happening in the Next men's department, random but kinda cool. * Mad five minutes in Primark with my little sister, embracing the weird and wacky sunglasses - ice lollies and doughnuts. * Hummingbird wall stickers for my bathroom, a gorgeous mix of purple and teal. A great way to add colour to a small space and easily removed/re-positioned (without leaving marks) from good old Next home. * Selection of pics from my Greek cruise, head over to my Instagram to see more. * I am not a massive fan of flying but I do love being able to buy beauty at 40,000 feet! something oddly soothing about it. This frisky six from Benefit has some great miniatures - a couple of favourites along with some new ones to try, and all perfect travel sized. * Hubby and I in the mountains of Crete, perfecting our selfie stick photography in the sunshine. * After the mountains came a traditional snack - mountain tea with biscuits and cheese, yum yum.
