Beauty Review: Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask

"Smoothing, refreshing & replenishing night cream-gel."

When I heard about this revolutionary new product from the body shop I was intrigued. After reading many reviews online raving about the benefits i decided to give it a go. I was still a little hesitant as at £22 it isn't the cheapest product on the market but i do love the Body Shop and know their products are worth the extra pennies.

"Discover our new Drops of Youth™ Bouncy Sleeping Mask, enriched with Edelweiss stem cells. Designed to be left on overnight, it leaves skin looking bouncier and feeling replenished." - thebodyshop.co.uk

Initial reactions:
Texture: Very odd consistency, a cross between a cream and a gel which gives a cooling feel to the skin once applied.  Takes a little while to sink in too, best to apply well before bedtime or your face ends up kinda stuck to the pillow!
Application: Simple, small scoop of the cream along with the massage guidelines to "stimulate your lymphatic system, encouraging circulation for skin that feels renewed and bouncy". Like giving yourself a mini facial every night.

Scent: Pleasant smell, a very light almost cucumbery scent, something a bit different.
Packaging: A gorgeous glass jar gives a premium feel to the product, however not travel friendly as it is rather weighty!

Month reactions:
Left my skin feeling fresh and soft for the first week or so however have been using this for a month now and whilst my skin is softer and a little plumper, it is also now all red and blotchy around my cheeks and nose! Nothing else new in my skin care regime so sadly not sure I will ever re-buy this, although I may retry once my skin clears up.

Worth checking out the rest of the "Drops of Youth" range at thebodyshop.co.uk

Would love to know if you have tried this? Has this been an amazing product for you?
